About // Recreating Touchpad Radio's iconic design by KaminskyW was an initiative that primarily focused on improving my texturing skills. The main challenge stemmed from creating the model in Nurbs-based software, which added complexity to the unwrapping process. However, with persistent effort, the unwrapping produced satisfactory results, encompassing around 80% of the texture space with well-organized islands. Furthermore, I delved into the process of baking small bevels using ZenBBQ with the assist of EZBaker, uncovering a workflow similar to Substance Painter with the additional benefit of custom-weight baked bevels.
