Blue Parade - Parada Absurdu // Graduation Project // 2022.07.08

About // Blue Parade Parada Absurdu was a project I selected as the artistic component of my graduate degree. The work, which comprised two parts, extended over approximately twelve months during my final year at the university. The first part involved creating a book and all its promotional materials. The entirety of this was conducted under the guidance of Professor Andrzej M. within the context of a publishing workshop. The professor provided crucial guidance in advancing the graphic design process; nevertheless, I had complete freedom to exercise creative autonomy throughout the execution of the entire project.

BOOK // The eighty-four-page book, excluding the cover, was organized into six distinct chapters, each featuring its own stories and graphical style. In terms of the plot, it took the form of a short story in the 'slice of life' genre, with the central character, Oppo, appearing in each narrative. A blend of techniques was employed during the creation, utilizing 3D scenes for backgrounds (with a unique combination of overlaid filters that contributed to the distinctive visual style of each story), hand-drawn characters, and special effects. The book was printed by the publishing company '*Atut Oficyna*,' It showcased a softcover, matte B5 paper, and was produced in a limited run of five copies.

Promotional Materials // The promotional materials included six 50 x 35 cm posters, each corresponding to its own story. Similar to the book, a blend of 2D and 3D techniques was used in their design. The posters were printed on vinyl and subsequently affixed to alu-pe-alu composite sheets.

Additionally, I designed stickers with a loose connection to the main plot elements. These stickers, featuring a few variations, were produced in a limited edition of approximately five hundred.
