About // This project marked my initial venture into competition work. It involved the creation of a logo for a japanese orphanage, as well as the associated brand book. Emphasizing a clean, uncluttered layout, the design I've chosen to go with incorporated geometric shapes to mirror the sharp angles inherent in kanji characters. One challenge faced during work involved identifying key principles with which to guide future designers in crafting graphics containing the logo. My approach to finding those guidelines was to consider practical scenarios, pinpoint potential pitfalls, and then establish these insights as fundamental principles.
